The collector of Kandhamal dist. Brunda D, appealed to all government employees to donate a day’s salary for the treatment of the conjoined twins of the district.
The AIIMS has formed a 30-member team for pre-surgery assessment of the twins. The doctors will reportedly conduct surgery in three phases to separate the twins.
“This is a rare condition and such cases occur once in 2.5 million live births. This case has high mortality rate as well,” AIIMS, New Delhi director Randeep Guleria had said earlier.

Here we are mentioning that, The twins — Jaga and Balia — from Kandhamal district in Odisha, were taken to AIIMS, Delhi for a surgical operation to separate them from the head.
