Mohan Kabi was born on 05 jan 1987 in his village -Jirital, Balasore,
Odisha. His parents, Mr Madhusudan Kabi and Smt. Snehalata Kabi. He
spent his first twelve years of his life in his birth place. Then he
shifted to Gopaljiu Matha, Padampure, a place in Balasore where his
father was a Gaudiya Baishnava.
Early Life: Bishnu is having a very supportive parents who encorged him a lot for all cultural activities. His mother is also a singer and his first Guru. At the ge of 6 he has started learning odiya bhajans from his mother. At the age of 7, he started his formal training both in odissi and Classical Music from Mr Avijit Pal and Shri Gauranga Chandra Pradhan.
Education: His schooling in Sahupada High School and then joined in Guru H.K Behera College of Art and Culture, Balasore under University of Art and Culture, Odisha.
Musical Career: He joined in a music school named “Bharatiya Nrutya Sangeetakala Parisad” by the encouragement of his brother and completed full course on Odissi Vocal. In year 2009 he had taken dmission in Utkal University Of Culture, Bhubaneswar. He did his M.Mus (PG) in odissi vocal from Guru Ramahari Das, Shri Dhiraj Mohapatra, Manjurani Mohapatra, and Purusottam Parida. After completed PG in 2011 he learned Hindustani Vocal from Guru Dr. Pradip Patra.
He won the Musical Reality show “Voice Of Odisha” title From Tarang Channel in 2009. Then in the year of 2011 he started recording Albums in regional languages (Odiya, Hindi, and Bengoli) by music Director Mr. Sarat Nayak (Cuttack), Jayanta Behera (Balasore), Mr Arjun Dalai and Mr. Asad Nizam. Again he was selected by the famous music director of Odia industry Abhijit Majumdar for play back in an Odia movie "Tanka Tote Salam". He got an opertunity by Mr. Baidyanath Dash to sing in the odia movies "Runku Jhumana" for the song "Bhul Mun Karichi Jadi" lyrics Surya Kumar. From the Odia movie Bachelore another song offered by the famous music director Prem Anad.
He has been working in many songs from so many movies and video albums with many music directors.
