Popular Odia actor and politician Akash Dasnayak turned 34 on 17th
Sept 2016 Saturday. He celebrated his birthday on a very traditional
way. Every year he used to celebrate every special occasion which comes
on his way like his birthday, Holi, Ganesh Puja etc with orphanages or old age homes. This time also from the “Sai Krupa” old age home around 40 elderly visited Puri Jagannath Temple with him and “We for You” the social service group coordinate the trip. They have visited puri and taken “Mahaprasad” there. They are all happy after this trip.
After the holy darshan and a sumptuous lunch of “Abhada”, Akash Das Nayak presented them with gifts.
“It’s a tradition. Every year, be it my birthday, Holi, Ganesh Puja or any other occasion, I come down to orphanages or old age homes. Celebrating with friends and relatives is what we generally do but I believe if I spare some time and come down here with my family and celebrate with them then that joy becomes manifold. My message to everyone is to please make a little effort to come and visit them. These people here have spent almost an entire lifetime; spending time with them will enable us to know insights about life from the experiences they share. Their blessings are no less than a parent’s blessings.”Said Akash dasnayak.
